The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (A.C.F.R.) is the official audited financial statement for all of Lucas County. The A.C.F.R. continues to receive an unqualified opinion, which is the most favorable audit opinion that can be rendered and means that the County's outside auditors have examined the County's books and records and determined that the County's financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position, operating results, and cash flows of the County in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The Lucas County Annual Comprehensive Financial Report has also received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (G.F.O.A.) for its conformance to the stringent guidelines and requirements of the A.C.F.R. award program for each year that it was submitted, beginning in 1984.
